An-Naba · 78:28

In context

1. إِلَّا حَمِيمٗا وَغَسَّاقٗا

   78:25Except scalding water and [foul] purulence

2. جَزَآءٗ وِفَاقًا

   78:26An appropriate recompense

3. إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ لَا يَرۡجُونَ حِسَابٗا

   78:27Indeed, they were not expecting an account

4. وَكَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كِذَّابٗا

   78:28And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial

5. وَكُلَّ شَيۡءٍ أَحۡصَيۡنَٰهُ كِتَٰبٗا

   78:29But all things We have enumerated in writing

6. فَذُوقُواْ فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمۡ إِلَّا عَذَابًا

   78:30So taste [the penalty], and never will We increase you except in torment

7. إِنَّ لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا

   78:31Indeed, for the righteous is attainment
