An-Naba · 78:8

In context

1. ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعۡلَمُونَ

   78:5Then, no! They are going to know

2. أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ مِهَٰدٗا

   78:6Have We not made the earth a resting place

3. وَٱلۡجِبَالَ أَوۡتَادٗا

   78:7And the mountains as stakes

4. وَخَلَقۡنَٰكُمۡ أَزۡوَٰجٗا

   78:8And We created you in pairs

5. وَجَعَلۡنَا نَوۡمَكُمۡ سُبَاتٗا

   78:9And made your sleep [a means for] rest

6. وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلَّيۡلَ لِبَاسٗا

   78:10And made the night as clothing

7. وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشٗا

   78:11And made the day for livelihood
