An-Nazi'at · 79:26

In context

1. فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ

   79:23And he gathered [his people] and called out

2. فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ

   79:24And said, "I am your most exalted lord

3. فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَٱلۡأُولَىٰٓ

   79:25So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]

4. إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبۡرَةٗ لِّمَن يَخۡشَىٰٓ

   79:26Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]

5. ءَأَنتُمۡ أَشَدُّ خَلۡقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُۚ بَنَىٰهَا

   79:27Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allah constructed it

6. رَفَعَ سَمۡكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا

   79:28He raised its ceiling and proportioned it

7. وَأَغۡطَشَ لَيۡلَهَا وَأَخۡرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا

   79:29And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness
