An-Nazi'at · 79:38

In context

1. يَوۡمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ

   79:35The Day when man will remember that for which he strove

2. وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلۡجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ

   79:36And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see

3. فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ

   79:37So as for he who transgressed

4. وَءَاثَرَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا

   79:38And preferred the life of the world

5. فَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ هِيَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ

   79:39Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge

6. وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفۡسَ عَنِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰ

   79:40But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination

7. فَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ هِيَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ

   79:41Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge
