An-Nazi'at · 79:40

In context

1. فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ

   79:37So as for he who transgressed

2. وَءَاثَرَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا

   79:38And preferred the life of the world

3. فَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ هِيَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ

   79:39Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge

4. وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفۡسَ عَنِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰ

   79:40But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination

5. فَإِنَّ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ هِيَ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ

   79:41Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge

6. يَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرۡسَىٰهَا

   79:42They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival

7. فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكۡرَىٰهَآ

   79:43In what [position] are you that you should mention it
