'Abasa · 80:39

In context

1. وَصَٰحِبَتِهِۦ وَبَنِيهِ

   80:36And his wife and his children

2. لِكُلِّ ٱمۡرِيٕٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ شَأۡنٞ يُغۡنِيهِ

   80:37For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him

3. وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ مُّسۡفِرَةٞ

   80:38[Some] faces, that Day, will be bright

4. ضَاحِكَةٞ مُّسۡتَبۡشِرَةٞ

   80:39Laughing, rejoicing at good news

5. وَوُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٍ عَلَيۡهَا غَبَرَةٞ

   80:40And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust

6. تَرۡهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ

   80:41Blackness will cover them

7. أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡكَفَرَةُ ٱلۡفَجَرَةُ

   80:42Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones
