'Abasa · 80:40

In context

1. لِكُلِّ ٱمۡرِيٕٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ شَأۡنٞ يُغۡنِيهِ

   80:37For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him

2. وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ مُّسۡفِرَةٞ

   80:38[Some] faces, that Day, will be bright

3. ضَاحِكَةٞ مُّسۡتَبۡشِرَةٞ

   80:39Laughing, rejoicing at good news

4. وَوُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٍ عَلَيۡهَا غَبَرَةٞ

   80:40And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust

5. تَرۡهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ

   80:41Blackness will cover them

6. أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡكَفَرَةُ ٱلۡفَجَرَةُ

   80:42Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones
