'Abasa · 80:6

In context

1. وَمَا يُدۡرِيكَ لَعَلَّهُۥ يَزَّكَّىٰٓ

   80:3But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified

2. أَوۡ يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنفَعَهُ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰٓ

   80:4Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him

3. أَمَّا مَنِ ٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰ

   80:5As for he who thinks himself without need

4. فَأَنتَ لَهُۥ تَصَدَّىٰ

   80:6To him you give attention

5. وَمَا عَلَيۡكَ أَلَّا يَزَّكَّىٰ

   80:7And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified

6. وَأَمَّا مَن جَآءَكَ يَسۡعَىٰ

   80:8But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge]

7. وَهُوَ يَخۡشَىٰ

   80:9While he fears [Allah]
