At-Takwir · 81:18

In context

1. فَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِٱلۡخُنَّسِ

   81:15So I swear by the retreating stars

2. ٱلۡجَوَارِ ٱلۡكُنَّسِ

   81:16Those that run [their courses] and disappear

3. وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا عَسۡعَسَ

   81:17And by the night as it closes in

4. وَٱلصُّبۡحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ

   81:18And by the dawn when it breathes

5. إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلُ رَسُولٖ كَرِيمٖ

   81:19[That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger

6. ذِي قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِي ٱلۡعَرۡشِ مَكِينٖ

   81:20[Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position]

7. مُّطَاعٖ ثَمَّ أَمِينٖ

   81:21Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy
