Al-Mutaffifin · 83:31

In context

1. عَيۡنٗا يَشۡرَبُ بِهَا ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ

   83:28A spring from which those near [to Allah] drink

2. إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجۡرَمُواْ كَانُواْ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ يَضۡحَكُونَ

   83:29Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed

3. وَإِذَا مَرُّواْ بِهِمۡ يَتَغَامَزُونَ

   83:30And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances

4. وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓاْ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُواْ فَكِهِينَ

   83:31And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting

5. وَإِذَا رَأَوۡهُمۡ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ

   83:32And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost

6. وَمَآ أُرۡسِلُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَٰفِظِينَ

   83:33But they had not been sent as guardians over them

7. فَٱلۡيَوۡمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡكُفَّارِ يَضۡحَكُونَ

   83:34So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers
