Al-Mutaffifin · 83:33

In context

1. وَإِذَا مَرُّواْ بِهِمۡ يَتَغَامَزُونَ

   83:30And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances

2. وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓاْ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُواْ فَكِهِينَ

   83:31And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting

3. وَإِذَا رَأَوۡهُمۡ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ

   83:32And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost

4. وَمَآ أُرۡسِلُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَٰفِظِينَ

   83:33But they had not been sent as guardians over them

5. فَٱلۡيَوۡمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡكُفَّارِ يَضۡحَكُونَ

   83:34So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers

6. عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ

   83:35On adorned couches, observing

7. هَلۡ ثُوِّبَ ٱلۡكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُواْ يَفۡعَلُونَ

   83:36Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do
