Al-Buruj · 85:17

In context

1. وَهُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلۡوَدُودُ

   85:14And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate

2. ذُو ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡمَجِيدُ

   85:15Honorable Owner of the Throne

3. فَعَّالٞ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ

   85:16Effecter of what He intends

4. هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡجُنُودِ

   85:17Has there reached you the story of the soldiers

5. فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَثَمُودَ

   85:18[Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud

6. بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فِي تَكۡذِيبٖ

   85:19But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial

7. وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطُۢ

   85:20While Allah encompasses them from behind
