In context

1. هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡجُنُودِ

   85:17Has there reached you the story of the soldiers

2. فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَثَمُودَ

   85:18[Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud

3. بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فِي تَكۡذِيبٖ

   85:19But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial

4. وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطُۢ

   85:20While Allah encompasses them from behind

5. بَلۡ هُوَ قُرۡءَانٞ مَّجِيدٞ

   85:21But this is an honored Qur'an

6. فِي لَوۡحٖ مَّحۡفُوظِۭ

   85:22[Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate
