Al-A'la · 87:13

In context

1. سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخۡشَىٰ

   87:10He who fears [Allah] will be reminded

2. وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلۡأَشۡقَى

   87:11But the wretched one will avoid it

3. ٱلَّذِي يَصۡلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ

   87:12[He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire

4. ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحۡيَىٰ

   87:13Neither dying therein nor living

5. قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ

   87:14He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself

6. وَذَكَرَ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ

   87:15And mentions the name of his Lord and prays

7. بَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا

   87:16But you prefer the worldly life
