Al-A'la · 87:14

In context

1. وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلۡأَشۡقَى

   87:11But the wretched one will avoid it

2. ٱلَّذِي يَصۡلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ

   87:12[He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire

3. ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحۡيَىٰ

   87:13Neither dying therein nor living

4. قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ

   87:14He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself

5. وَذَكَرَ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ

   87:15And mentions the name of his Lord and prays

6. بَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا

   87:16But you prefer the worldly life

7. وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓ

   87:17While the Hereafter is better and more enduring
