Al-A'la · 87:15

In context

1. ٱلَّذِي يَصۡلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ

   87:12[He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire

2. ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحۡيَىٰ

   87:13Neither dying therein nor living

3. قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ

   87:14He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself

4. وَذَكَرَ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ

   87:15And mentions the name of his Lord and prays

5. بَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا

   87:16But you prefer the worldly life

6. وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓ

   87:17While the Hereafter is better and more enduring

7. إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ

   87:18Indeed, this is in the former scriptures
