Al-A'la · 87:17

In context

1. قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ

   87:14He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself

2. وَذَكَرَ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ

   87:15And mentions the name of his Lord and prays

3. بَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا

   87:16But you prefer the worldly life

4. وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓ

   87:17While the Hereafter is better and more enduring

5. إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ

   87:18Indeed, this is in the former scriptures

6. صُحُفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ

   87:19The scriptures of Abraham and Moses
