Al-Ghashiyah · 88:7

In context

1. تَصۡلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةٗ

   88:4They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire

2. تُسۡقَىٰ مِنۡ عَيۡنٍ ءَانِيَةٖ

   88:5They will be given drink from a boiling spring

3. لَّيۡسَ لَهُمۡ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٖ

   88:6For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant

4. لَّا يُسۡمِنُ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِن جُوعٖ

   88:7Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger

5. وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ نَّاعِمَةٞ

   88:8[Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure

6. لِّسَعۡيِهَا رَاضِيَةٞ

   88:9With their effort [they are] satisfied

7. فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٖ

   88:10In an elevated garden
