Al-Fajr · 89:10

In context

1. إِرَمَ ذَاتِ ٱلۡعِمَادِ

   89:7[With] Iram - who had lofty pillars

2. ٱلَّتِي لَمۡ يُخۡلَقۡ مِثۡلُهَا فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ

   89:8The likes of whom had never been created in the land

3. وَثَمُودَ ٱلَّذِينَ جَابُواْ ٱلصَّخۡرَ بِٱلۡوَادِ

   89:9And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley

4. وَفِرۡعَوۡنَ ذِي ٱلۡأَوۡتَادِ

   89:10And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes

5. ٱلَّذِينَ طَغَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ

   89:11[All of] whom oppressed within the lands

6. فَأَكۡثَرُواْ فِيهَا ٱلۡفَسَادَ

   89:12And increased therein the corruption

7. فَصَبَّ عَلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّكَ سَوۡطَ عَذَابٍ

   89:13So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment
