Al-Fajr · 89:11

In context

1. ٱلَّتِي لَمۡ يُخۡلَقۡ مِثۡلُهَا فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ

   89:8The likes of whom had never been created in the land

2. وَثَمُودَ ٱلَّذِينَ جَابُواْ ٱلصَّخۡرَ بِٱلۡوَادِ

   89:9And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley

3. وَفِرۡعَوۡنَ ذِي ٱلۡأَوۡتَادِ

   89:10And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes

4. ٱلَّذِينَ طَغَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ

   89:11[All of] whom oppressed within the lands

5. فَأَكۡثَرُواْ فِيهَا ٱلۡفَسَادَ

   89:12And increased therein the corruption

6. فَصَبَّ عَلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّكَ سَوۡطَ عَذَابٍ

   89:13So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment

7. إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِٱلۡمِرۡصَادِ

   89:14Indeed, your Lord is in observation
