Al-Fajr · 89:24

In context

1. كَلَّآۖ إِذَا دُكَّتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ دَكّٗا دَكّٗا

   89:21No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed

2. وَجَآءَ رَبُّكَ وَٱلۡمَلَكُ صَفّٗا صَفّٗا

   89:22And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank

3. وَجِاْيٓءَ يَوۡمَئِذِۭ بِجَهَنَّمَۚ يَوۡمَئِذٖ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ وَأَنَّىٰ لَهُ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ

   89:23And brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but what good to him will be the remembrance

4. يَقُولُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي قَدَّمۡتُ لِحَيَاتِي

   89:24He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life

5. فَيَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُۥٓ أَحَدٞ

   89:25So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment

6. وَلَا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُۥٓ أَحَدٞ

   89:26And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers]

7. يَـٰٓأَيَّتُهَا ٱلنَّفۡسُ ٱلۡمُطۡمَئِنَّةُ

   89:27[To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul
