Al-Fajr · 89:8

In context

1. هَلۡ فِي ذَٰلِكَ قَسَمٞ لِّذِي حِجۡرٍ

   89:5Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception

2. أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ

   89:6Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad

3. إِرَمَ ذَاتِ ٱلۡعِمَادِ

   89:7[With] Iram - who had lofty pillars

4. ٱلَّتِي لَمۡ يُخۡلَقۡ مِثۡلُهَا فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ

   89:8The likes of whom had never been created in the land

5. وَثَمُودَ ٱلَّذِينَ جَابُواْ ٱلصَّخۡرَ بِٱلۡوَادِ

   89:9And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley

6. وَفِرۡعَوۡنَ ذِي ٱلۡأَوۡتَادِ

   89:10And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes

7. ٱلَّذِينَ طَغَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ

   89:11[All of] whom oppressed within the lands
