In context

1. أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ

   89:6Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad

2. إِرَمَ ذَاتِ ٱلۡعِمَادِ

   89:7[With] Iram - who had lofty pillars

3. ٱلَّتِي لَمۡ يُخۡلَقۡ مِثۡلُهَا فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ

   89:8The likes of whom had never been created in the land

4. وَثَمُودَ ٱلَّذِينَ جَابُواْ ٱلصَّخۡرَ بِٱلۡوَادِ

   89:9And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley

5. وَفِرۡعَوۡنَ ذِي ٱلۡأَوۡتَادِ

   89:10And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes

6. ٱلَّذِينَ طَغَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ

   89:11[All of] whom oppressed within the lands

7. فَأَكۡثَرُواْ فِيهَا ٱلۡفَسَادَ

   89:12And increased therein the corruption
