Al-Balad · 90:9

In context

1. يَقُولُ أَهۡلَكۡتُ مَالٗا لُّبَدًا

   90:6He says, "I have spent wealth in abundance

2. أَيَحۡسَبُ أَن لَّمۡ يَرَهُۥٓ أَحَدٌ

   90:7Does he think that no one has seen him

3. أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَل لَّهُۥ عَيۡنَيۡنِ

   90:8Have We not made for him two eyes

4. وَلِسَانٗا وَشَفَتَيۡنِ

   90:9And a tongue and two lips

5. وَهَدَيۡنَٰهُ ٱلنَّجۡدَيۡنِ

   90:10And have shown him the two ways

6. فَلَا ٱقۡتَحَمَ ٱلۡعَقَبَةَ

   90:11But he has not broken through the difficult pass

7. وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡعَقَبَةُ

   90:12And what can make you know what is [breaking through] the difficult pass
