Ash-Shams · 91:9

In context

1. وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا طَحَىٰهَا

   91:6And [by] the earth and He who spread it

2. وَنَفۡسٖ وَمَا سَوَّىٰهَا

   91:7And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it

3. فَأَلۡهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقۡوَىٰهَا

   91:8And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness

4. قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن زَكَّىٰهَا

   91:9He has succeeded who purifies it

5. وَقَدۡ خَابَ مَن دَسَّىٰهَا

   91:10And he has failed who instills it [with corruption]

6. كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ بِطَغۡوَىٰهَآ

   91:11Thamud denied [their prophet] by reason of their transgression

7. إِذِ ٱنۢبَعَثَ أَشۡقَىٰهَا

   91:12When the most wretched of them was sent forth
