Al-'Alaq · 96:17

In context

1. أَلَمۡ يَعۡلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَرَىٰ

   96:14Does he not know that Allah sees

2. كَلَّا لَئِن لَّمۡ يَنتَهِ لَنَسۡفَعَۢا بِٱلنَّاصِيَةِ

   96:15No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock

3. نَاصِيَةٖ كَٰذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٖ

   96:16A lying, sinning forelock

4. فَلۡيَدۡعُ نَادِيَهُۥ

   96:17Then let him call his associates

5. سَنَدۡعُ ٱلزَّبَانِيَةَ

   96:18We will call the angels of Hell

6. كَلَّا لَا تُطِعۡهُ وَٱسۡجُدۡۤ وَٱقۡتَرِب۩

   96:19No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]
