Al-'Alaq · 96:6

In context

1. ٱقۡرَأۡ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلۡأَكۡرَمُ

   96:3Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous

2. ٱلَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِٱلۡقَلَمِ

   96:4Who taught by the pen

3. عَلَّمَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مَا لَمۡ يَعۡلَمۡ

   96:5Taught man that which he knew not

4. كَلَّآ إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لَيَطۡغَىٰٓ

   96:6No! [But] indeed, man transgresses

5. أَن رَّءَاهُ ٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰٓ

   96:7Because he sees himself self-sufficient

6. إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلرُّجۡعَىٰٓ

   96:8Indeed, to your Lord is the return

7. أَرَءَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِي يَنۡهَىٰ

   96:9Have you seen the one who forbids
